During the coronavirus, American Heritage Girls (AHG) have been busy serving the CALL, social distance style... Instead of making meals themselves, AHG used a grant from Modern Woodmen of America to purchase meals from Gina’s Catering for CALL families. (Thanks Gina for the wonderful discount and extra donation!) Along with the meals, 8th grader Lilly Neu mailed out Dominos discount cards to CALL families and has been making masks to donate locally as she works towards a leadership award through AHG.
The Modern Woodmen Grant also paid for gift cards for teens, clothes, a improvement project for one family, and the ice cream social. Modern Woodmen does local service projects each year and was so pleased to be able to support CALL families during this difficult time. This fall, 8th grader Kara Ivy will be leading a service project to make more meals for families. AHG is a faith based scouting organization for girls that has many adopted and foster girls participating each year. For more info contact
