While there are dozens of ways to share the love of Christ with children and teens in crisis in our community, below are a few examples.
Prayer Team
One of the most important things you can do for children and teens in foster care is to pray. Our Prayer Team regularly prays for the specific needs of children and teenagers in foster care, as well as caseworkers, foster parents, adoptive families, judges, biological families, and all of those who are part of their story.
Family Support Team
Foster and adoptive families who open their homes to provide hope and healing to children and teenagers need a strong network of support. The Body of Christ is uniquely equipped to encourage and provide for these special families in a hands-on and tangible way.
Annual Family Appreciation Meal
During Foster Care Awareness Month in May, The CALL provides a unique, drive-thru experience during the annual appreciation meal for local families impacted by foster care: grilled burgers & hotdogs, sides, HOMEMADE desserts, cheers, and smiles! It takes a team to make this event special for our families. Learn more about how you can be part of this joyous, exciting opportunity to serve and celebrate these amazing families and the children in their care.
Christmas Baskets
Each year at our annual Christmas Gathering, gift baskets are a special treat and blessing for foster and adoptive families! All of the baskets have a theme and are enjoyable for the whole family. We need the help of our community each year to provide baskets for the incredible families we serve and support. Be as creative as you would like to with the theme as you build a basket for a local foster or adoptive family that will bring them joy and encouragement during the Christmas season!
