The CALL in Conway and Faulkner Counties is so thankful for The CALL Support Center. This is a multifunctional Center where bio parents, DCFS, CASA & The CALL families can all be served.
Along with office space, the new facility houses the CALL Mall. The Mall enables our foster parents & DCFS to pick up clothing and other items for the foster children in their care. These are items donated by the community that a child might need. Clothing, diapers, beds, etc. Because we have been abundantly blessed by our community we are able to share with other non profits clothing and children's items that they may need for children in their care.
We have a visitation room available for biological families to visit with their children under the supervision of their caseworker. Resources are available for the bio families to help guide them to programs to benefit their family. There is also a huge playground on-site that is an amazing asset to children and families using the CALL House for many different reasons.
The CALL House enables our counties to support DCFS in many ways. Many children are taken into care in desperate need of a shower and new clothes before going to their foster home. The bathroom is equipped with clean towels, hygiene products and lice kits. There is a child friendly room on site where children are comfortable reading, resting or playing with toys while the caseworker secures a permanent placement. The kitchen is stocked with snacks for the children during visits or while they wait for a placement. Our training space can be utilized by our trainers, DCFS, CASA or other groups for meetings or small luncheons.
