The Call of Marion County and the children and foster/adoptive parents of Marion County wish to thank Harps Grocery store and the participants of their recent charity Golf Tournament for the generous donation of $2500 to The Call of Marion County.

The Call of Arkansas is the chosen method of the State of Arkansas to provide homes for orphaned and foster children and foster/adoptive parents. The Call’s mission is to mobilize the Churches to care for foster children by encouraging, challenging and equipping Christians to become foster parents and support foster families. We help demystify the world of foster care, providing step-by-step guidance and resources that break down the walls that inhibit people in the churches from volunteering their homes for foster or adoptive children.

In addition, The Call works closely with Arkansas DHS (Department of Human Services) who is immediately responsible for the care and placement of the children of Arkansas who require their services by supporting children and families with immediate and continuing needs.  Compelled by God’s abundant love, we exist to share that love and His unwavering hope with children in foster care.  With donations like those provided by Harps, The Call is able to work closely with DHS to supply these immediate essentials, for example shoes, coats, beds, or baby diapers and formula.

Thank you again Harps employees and golf participants as well as management that were responsible for selecting The Call as a charity to support.
