1st Annual Beauty in Brokenness Gala

The CALL in Faulkner & Conway Counties is hosting the 1st Annual Beauty in Brokenness Gala to raise funds needed for the renovation costs for a community presence in Conway. The old 2BC parsonage on The Ministry Center property will become The CALL House after needed improvements are complete. The CALL House will provide office space for The CALL in Faulkner & Conway counties, the CALL Mall (clothing and other physical needs for foster children}, a visitation room for DCFS to use with families and foster children, and other space for CALL family meetings, small trainings and other community meetings.

The theme, “Beauty in Brokenness”, is a visual description of the foster children in our care. A child that comes into foster care has experienced many traumas that cause their hearts and spirit to be broken. Through the love of Christ shown by CALL foster families, God can bring beauty out of their brokenness.  The Gala will take place on Saturday, May 20, from 6-8pm at Grace Conway-UMC, located at 1075 Hogan Lane in Conway. The CALL has planned an exciting evening beginning with a delicious catered meal, a silent auction and other festivities.  We encourage businesses and individuals to purchase a table and invite your friends. For information regarding tickets or to donate a silent auction item, please contact County Coordinator, Louise Witcher at ConwayFaulkner@thecallinarkansas.org or call  501-581-9208.

Your support will be important to Louise and the Leadership Team as they proceed in 2017 to fulfill the mission of The CALL in Arkansas: to educate, equip and encourage the Christian community to provide a future and a hope for children in foster care. The vision is no waiting children.

The CALL in Conway and Faulkner Counties

We are excited about the great work that God is doing through us in Faulkner and Conway Counties ! We have seen amazing progress in Faulkner County over the last few years, and are hoping to see God do the same in Conway County. If you have ever considered fostering or adopting, we would love to talk to you.

We have an amazing group of families, who are empowered, educated and equipped to do the work God has called us to–but our work isn’t finished! There is still a great need for more families, especially families willing to foster or adopt sibling groups, older children, teens, minorities and children with special needs. Who better than the body of Christ to rise up and meet this need?

If you know that you are not in place right now where your family could actively foster or adopt, there is still plenty of room for you to volunteer in one aspect or another in our county. Our volunteers make a huge difference in the lives of our children! If God is starting to talk to you, even if you are very uncertain–please contact us and let us answer your questions!
