Volunteer opportunities

  • Bedside Angels – Sit with foster children who are at AR Children’s Hospital as needed (certification required)
  • CALL MALL – Available as needed to sort, pick up or deliver clothing for children in foster care
  • Child Care – Volunteer to provide babysitting to a foster or adoptive family in your church or neighborhood
  • Church Recruitment Team – Reaching out to local churches to develop new partnerships with The CALL
  • Church Rep – Representing The CALL to raise awareness about the need for families and volunteers for children in foster care, and facilitating support for families who come forward
  • DCFS Office Volunteer – Helps workers with copies, mailing, filing & errands one morning a week at DCFS office
  • Event Recruitment Team – Represents The CALL at a table at community events; weekends and evenings as available
  • Foster Family Support System – Available to keep a child in foster care for a foster family up to 72 hours (certification required)
  • Fundraising Team – Help plan and facilitate fundraising plan for The CALL
  • Grant Writing – Write grants for The CALL as needed
  • Hospitality Team – Prepare meals for CALL events or foster families as needed
  • Mentor – Mentor a youth in foster care (certification required)
  • Prayer Team – Actively committed to pray for children in foster care, The CALL, case workers, the churches, foster and adoptive famiiles, biological families, and receive requests via e-mail
  • PRIDE Trainer – Become certified to train foster, adoptive and respite care families
  • Social Worker – Volunteer to perform home studies for foster/adoptive families; LCSW required; MSW or BA in Social Work can assist
  • Speaker – Present helpful information for foster/adoptive families at meetings and trainings
  • Transporter – Provide transportation as needed for children in foster care (certification required)
