Get involved …
Get involved as a parent
The need for foster and adoptive parents is great in Arkansas. You don’t have to be perfect, you just have to be willing and available. There is training involved and some requirements to meet. The good news is that at The CALL we’ve walked hundreds of parents through this process over the past 10 years. We will be there every step of the way for you too if you choose to pursue becoming a foster or adoptive parent.
The first step is to come to an Info Meeting to learn more and maybe get started. Find an Info Meeting
Get involved as a volunteer
Not everyone is called to foster or adopt, but everyone can help in some way. The CALL relies on a large number of volunteers.
If you are willing and have a little time to invest, we have a spot for you.
To find out what the volunteer opportunities are in your county, start by going to the county webpage. Another excellent way to get involved is to come to an Info Meeting. You’ll meet your county team in person and can find out just where you will fit into the mission of The CALL. Find an Info Meeting
Get involved as a church
The CALL is about mobilizing and equipping the local church to be actively involved in helping solve the foster care crisis in their community. Any church, no matter how large or small, can now be involved in caring for children in foster care in the community.
Families that foster or adopt need encouragement and support. What better place to get that than from their local church?
For a church wanting to make a difference for children in foster care, The CALL provides a proven path to get involved. Here are just a few ideas:
- Promote The CALL’s Info Meetings to your congregation
- Host an Informational Meeting
- Host a foster/adoptive parent training
- Host foster/adoptive parerent support meetings
- Provide support to foster/adoptive families in the congregation
Get started by contacting The CALL team in your county.
Get involved as a county
The CALL is active in many counties in Arkansas, but not yet in every county. That is our vision: To be in every county, for every child that comes into foster care.
You can help make that a reality. If you are in a county where The CALL hasn’t launched yet, prayerfully consider what you can do to help change that and be part of shaping the future of your community.
